TOEFL Preparation
TOEFL iBT changed in January 2026. It is shorter, it adapts to your answers, and it is scored on a new 1 to 6 scale. It still measures what universities care about: academic English, used under time pressure. Our online course is built for the test as it is now.
The Test in Brief
A shorter, adaptive academic English test with four sections and a new scoring system.
Four Sections
About Two HoursReading (about 30 minutes), Listening (29), Writing (23), and Speaking (8). Timing varies slightly because the test adapts as you answer. Allow around two hours in total.
Scored
1 to 6Since January 21, 2026, each section and the overall score use a 1 to 6 scale in half-point steps. For a two-year transition period, a comparable 0 to 120 score is reported as well.
